UNDERSTANDING PEER PRESSURE & BUILDING INNER STRENGTH
In today's world, young people are constantly influenced by their surroundings. Friends, social media, celebrities, trends, and society often shape the choices people make, sometimes without them even realising it.
Many young people feel pressured to fit in, gain acceptance, or avoid standing out from the crowd. This can lead to decisions that conflict with their values, beliefs, and long-term goals.
As part of the Diploma Programme, students will explore the reality of peer pressure and learn how to navigate it with confidence, wisdom, and faith.
The programme will help students understand:
• Why people feel the need to follow others
• How social media influences behaviour, identity, and decision-making
• The difference between positive and negative influences
• How to recognise unhealthy pressures from friends, society, and online platforms
• The importance of self-worth and identity in Islam
• The consequences of making choices based solely on the approval of others
Most importantly, students will learn the Prophetic methodology for dealing with external pressures and internal struggles.
